Description
The TR-UVGA transition module the physical interconnection between the IP-SVGA / IP-UVGA IndustryPack graphic modules and a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, providing industry standard connectors and data buffers for the RS232 serial port and line terminations for the monitor and keyboard ports.
The TR-UVGA is a low cost module that fits behind a standard 3U or 6U front panel compatible with any DIN41612 subrack. Mounted in a slot adjacent to the IndustryPack carrier, interconnection to the IP-SVGA / IP-UVGA module is via a 50 way flat ribbon cable, and industry standard connectors are provided on the front panel for the peripherals. Both analogue and TTL signals are available and there is also a buzzer and a SIL 16 way header designed to accept an 8 x 8 matrix keyboard. As well as bringing the peripheral connectors conveniently onto the front panel, by using the TR-UVGA the serial ports on the Graphic IP's host carrier are freed up for other uses.
Extensive software support is a key feature. Software drivers for all major operating systems are available. Both two and three button mice are fully supported, with the mouse driver automatically converting the data packet format depending on the type of mouse connected. Mouse button functions can be swapped in software. All keys on a standard PC-AT keyboard can be (re)programmed on the fly to produce any character or string up to 63 character long, and software drivers for all major operating systems are available.
